Services & Surfaces
OFS understands that business hours vary by industry and individual company. That's why we offer flexible work hours to accommodate your firm's individual needs. We also use a suite of materials that assist us with staying as least-invasive as possible. Our hope is that you won't know we were there until we're gone.
Elevators & Entryways & Plaques
Your entryways & elevators represent the transition from a workday or day of travel to the comfort of home. It is crucial that these elements of a hotel, community, or club are clean, maintained, free from corrosion or oxidation, and are scratch and blemish free. OFS can assist with this process by refinishing metal and wood surfaces to remove failing finish, scratches, blemishes, and years of wear & tear.
Plaques typically memorialize or commemorate an event or person with importance to a location. Just because a plaque has worn out, doesn’t mean its meaning or commemoration has. Let OFS bring the plaque, and its subject, back to life. OFS can restore a plaque’s finish onsite and in place to match the original look.
Brass surfaces can be finished and restored to a satin, mirror, or patina finish. A protective metal-grade coating is always applied to keep these surfaces tarnish free once finishing or restoration is complete.
Stainless steel can be finished to a satin, mirror, or blackened finish. A protective coating is applied to the stainless steel to prevent corrosion over time.
Millwork
Wear and tear is, unfortunately, inevitable in the hospitality industry. Regular everyday procedures are often a primary source of wear and tear in millwork. Bellcarts and luggage sideswiping door frames and passage doors, cleaning solvents damaging the finish on a Proshop desk or Concierge station, and even golf spikes scratching your bar front or eating utensils nicking & scratching your tabletops — OFS Corporation has the skilled technicians you need to remedy these inevitable issues.
Touch-up – Minor (and some major) scratches, nicks, and chips can be restored without addressing the entire unit, or surfaces, as a whole. Imperfections are first identified, and then our technicians will fill gouges and chips, mix a custom color to match your millwork, and then meticulously touch-up the area to blend the repair. Topcoat is then applied to the repair to lock in the touch-up work.
Refurbishment – What we consider to be the middle ground between touch-up & refinishing. Refurbishment involves the touch-up process, but also includes applying stain to the entire surfaces, when necessary. The final step of the refurbishment processes is to apply a new topcoat to the entire work surface to ensure an even sheen.
Refinishing – Refinishing is typically performed when the work surface is too far damaged to touch-up and refurbish. It’s often used when there is evidence of water damage or finish failure. Refinishing involves stripping and sanding the surface back to a bare substrate, then staining to the color of your choosing, and finally applying multiple topcoats for protection.
All of these restoration methods can be performed onsite and in place. With the use of eco-friendly and non-invasive water-borne materials, disruptions are kept to an absolute minimum.
