Photos of recent OFS projects show how we provide value with several key services
Example 1: This oak door took bad damage from a misaligned drill bit. Believe it or not, we were able to fill the damaged area and blend the finish so that the blemish was barely visible to the untrained eye. Given the cost of the product, the delivery and labor, a new door can cost upwards of $1,000 installed. OFS conducts onsite repairs for considerably less money than the cost of replacement and installation fees.
Example 2: Metal trim and doors on building entrances. Both Liberty Bank in Middletown, CT and the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Warwick, RI contacted OFS recently for maintenance and restoration of metallic revolving doors and entry ways. Our onsite crews were able to restore brass trim and mirror & satin décor to like new conditions – ahead of this year’s winter season.
Example 3: Sterling Tower at Yale University in New Haven, CT posed its own unique challenges. Matching historic surfaces to new finishes is an OFS “specialty” service. For this project we were charged with matching existing transoms, arched over doorways to the new door assemblies that were installed in an effort to replace 3-door arrangements with 2-door structures, with the ultimate goal of making this historic building fully handicap accessible.
